Work in Progress - "Hard Times" - Colored Pencil

A short clip demonstrating  the creation of texture in a beanie cap on the piece "Hard Times". This requires very detailed, intricate marks over and over on the paper in various colors and then an additional layer of soft gray and white to give the effect of fibers.

Enlarging a Photo With a Projector

Discussion and How to Tutorial

This video is to demonstrate how to enlarge a photo using a projector prior to painting or drawing. Yes I know there is a lot of controversy around the use of a projector and so I address that in the beginning of my video. I personally use the projector anytime I need to draw a large picture than my original photo. Of course it's only used to make very light outline of the proportion. You still freehand everything in between the lines so don't let anyone tell you that you are not an artist if you use a tool for proportions. If you don't use a projector... you use rulers, grids, and other tools for enlarging.  "Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art." ~ Andy Warhol
